Collection: PERSOL

The Persol story began here, in the birthplace of one of the greatest symbols of Italian industry.
Engineer, photographer and pilot Giuseppe Ratti bought the historic Berry optics shop located in the city center and began producing technically advanced eyewear there.

Persol's unique features, the Meflecto system, the arrow and the "3-slot bridge" were created during these years. The first makes the frame flexible.

The name Persol

«Persol» derives from «Per il sole», which means «to the sun» in Italian.
This name, which was originally the name of the first sunglasses created by Ratti, defines the unmistakable functional character of the brand. This is how it became the brand name.

In the 1980s, Persol further tested its technology.
From the heat and curves of the legendary Paris Dakar, to the heights of the Himalayas and the freezing temperatures of Siberia. Various missions with the aim of pushing limits and redefining them.
